This project is a work in progress. Mind Design are currently re-branding Villandry, an all day French restaurant, cafe, food store, bakery and bar located in Great Portland Street, Marylebone and Bicester Village. They designed the identity, packaging, signage system and all printed material. The identity is based on a set of 5 shapes which refer to traditional brasserie menu frames. The shapes are either used individually or combined to create a pattern. They have also chosen a very bright colour scheme that contrasts the classic shapes. Drawings will be replaced with photography over time.
I really like this identity so far as a project, however what I am interested in is the way that the designs are persesnted. In terms of mocking up designs for either clients or proposed deliverables for course work, these vector images are very simplistic but work ver effectively to explain the designs.
