I tried using some of the colours from the colour palette experiment I did, where I picked out colours from the contextual references I have been looking at. I tried this more muted red, and inverted the background as I had previously, only this time with a lighter, dusty blue colour so that the text doesn't get lost in the background. I also tried a dirty cream colour for the layer behind the blue so that the stars aren't pure white. I think that this makes them appear more subtle and altogether works better.
