Rita Neves is a designer from Lisbon, Portugal. I am interested in her work because she combines custom type and illustration across printed media which are the specialist areas of my own practice.
She uses multiple finishing processes and bright colourful colour palettes presumably using two colour printing a lot of the time.
In this project - A Republica - Etnografia do quotidiano - she uses two colours plus stock. She also uses areas of foil blocking. The colour choices combined with the finishing processes give a feeling of luxury and quality. I want to try and use more finishing processes with my own work.
