Cuckoo cover revision
I am not happy with the Cuckoo's nest cover at them moment so I tried another idea, as well as using elements of the old design that I like to create a new one.
Initial mock ups
These are my initial mock ups of three of my five book covers. I think that they work well size wise and all my measurements are correct.
I think that the spines work really well together as a set.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
These are my five book covers at present. I think that the colour palette is working as a set but it is not 100% there yet. I think I am happy with 1984 (although the text needs re-arranging), I am happy with Lolita and almost there with clockwork orange.

Alternative cuckoo's nest cover
I have been working on some other possible resolutions for the Cuckoo's nest cover. I am really not satisfied with the one that I have already created. I tried another design that I had come up with, but I'm not sure I like that either. I like the concept of syringes, but I don't think that they work when they are enlarged this much.
I also tried some birds under the idea of 'cuckoo's'. I think this works okay, but I feel that the concept is too straight forward and obvious.
